At it's price, it's a very good buy. The earphones are also quite good. He's more of a CD buff, but wanted to put an archive in discs and be able to listen to them as well, so for those who aren't big fans of MP3 players, but want to have archives of music they can listen to, this is a good product to try. I bought this as a gift for my brother. It works really well, and he's very pleased with it.
This was a perfect gift for her. My sister was missing her portable radio, but she needed a music player too that she could listen to while on the plane or in very remote area.
However, I found that there was no way to bookmark a location so that when the device is turned off and later turned on it will start at the bookmark; it always started at the beginning of the audiobook. I purchased this product to use with CD-MP3 audiobook disks.
Other than that, I would suggest you buy rechargeable batteries for non-stop listening of the music. It is not as if I am in a basement either. When the batteries go low, you can only listen to the radio and not the cd player. I actually love this radio. The only bad thing about it, is I cant listen to the am radio when i am in the building for some reason.
Lie. It is an AM crank dial to find a station. A really sorry product. Lie. Amazon should have caught that.Buy a Sony or Panasonic and find some quality. Its control buttons do not work a lot. The ad says that it had digital tuning.
